Beitrag von seckin »

First of all, I am sorry for the language.
I have some problems for starting up my Toshiba Tecra 9100.
When start my laptop, it comes with the message,
"Kein System oder Laufwerkfehler
Wecseln und Taste drucken"

When I want to get into the bios, it asks a password which I dont know.

I just get this Laptop from ebay.de for 700 euros !!! I know stupid me..
The guy is not helping me anymore.

Please can you help me with this.

Hi,

your language doesn't matter, but we don't support any user questions about Ebay-laptops and forgotten passwords, because most of them were stolen.

My tip: try to remove the RTC-battery and delete the CMOS, otherwise contact toshiba's support center.

Hello JUMPERz,
Thanks for your answer, before I bought this laptop I contacted Toshiba in the Netherlands and in Germany, the service desk told me that this laptop was not registered as stolen, and of course I asked the guy also, he told me that it was an lease pc that he bought. More than this I cant do anything.
I followed your tip some day ago, i just removed the RTC battery after 20 hours I putted back, but this did not help. Is there any special way to delete the CMOS after removing the RTC battery ??

Thanks in advance guys..

You must first remove all power batteries and the power plug!
Then remove the RTC battery and put it recklessly into the socket for 5 minutes.

May be your notebook has a special chip (not the BIOS eeprom!), which stores the password. Or a hidden sector on your harddisk. For this way: no chance!

My tip: use www.google.com ;)
