S3 not resuming in Fedoro linux - pls help

hi all,

i am using Fedoro linux 5.0.32. The system is not resuming from S3 state. Is os(linux) expecting any information from bios ( ie. in asl code of bios) through ACPI. please help me in solving this problem.
